ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES

Cornerstone Church, Elyria, Ohio, is pleased to announce that it is the latest in a growing number of locations across the country that are participating in ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES, a non-denominational, non-profit service which provides grocery relief through a monthly food distribution. This service, headquartered in Good Hope, Georgia is currently providing high-quality national and regional brand foods through the volunteer efforts of its Host Sites in over thirty-three states.
The food is not "distressed" or out-dated. The "menu", which includes fresh and frozen as well as boxed and canned food, changes each month in order to provide a variety of foods. Groceries are ordered each month by any interested individual, with no income guidelines and requires no applications. The only requirement to participate in the program is that an individual place an order for the food during the specified order period each month. This is done by coming to the site, and placing a pre-paid order for the food. Each unit costs $30.00 and contains both fresh and frozen top quality food items with an average retail value of $65.00. A national policy prohibits the site from accepting personal checks. Payment may be made in the form of cash or cashier check. Also now available is on-line ordering through the Angel Food web site listed below.
Each box of food will assist in feeding a family of 4 for about a week, or a single person for almost a month! Special values are also available each month with the only qualification being that you must order at least 1 regular food unit. Menus change monthly. Anyone may order any number of food units they wish. On distribution day, always on a Saturday, you simply bring your receipt and a box, basket or cooler to pick up your food.
